THE CUT by WADE

Wade Carpenter

BARBER @ THE CUT by WADE

When Wade was in the 7th grade, his friend and neighbor decided they wanted a Mohawk. Then, Wade decided he should be the one to give it to him. Little did he know then,  Wade was laying the foundations for the trade that would one day become his career. After bragging about his friend's new popularity, Wade became the go-to guy for cuts.

Initially, he cut hair for his teammates on the football team and wrestling team in high school, later on as word continued to spread, it became his teammates on the baseball team in college.

After college, Wade spent many years in the entertainment industry having pretty good success in the modeling, acting and music worlds, all the while still being the go-to guy for cuts! Most of his clients were his starving artist friends still waiting to catch their break and needing to look good to do it.

While touring with his band, Wade herniated a disk. Ouch! and he took some time off. Whilst he was recovering from the injury, Wade went to barber school in Atlanta, Georgia.

It was there that he honed his skills learning from several Master Barbers that had worked in Barber Shops, Salons, and on the US hair team during the 1980's....... and yes, there is competition circuit, believe it or not, for the hair world too!

The Master Barbers taught Wade to do every service from color and women's hair to fades and shaves. They taught him to see and create shapes. To analyze the type of hair that is in front of you and the growth patterns that it has. That is his canvas. They taught Wade that all heads are different and everyone needs to be treated on an individual basis.

He ran with that advice and have since worked in salons from Chaz Deans Studio, in Hollywood, to the most humble of barber shops.

Whilst contemplating the venture to strike out on his own, Wade was the head barber and product educator for the well-known barber shop Baxter Finley in West Hollywood, CA.
